Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. You can review your basket at any time by clicking on 'View Basket' where you can remove items, change quantities, save your basket for a future visit or continue shopping.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

The following are the terms and conditions under which Chandlery World Ltd sells its products on the internet. No modifications or variations thereof shall be effective unless made in writing by Chandlery World Ltd.

  1. Cancellation: If for any reason you wish to cancel your order please contact us using the contact form within 7 days of ordering.
  2. Acceptance: You will receive emailed acknowledgement of receipt of your order. Chandlery World Ltd. reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order at any time up until the point that the product is shipped.
  3. Prices: All prices are quoted inclusive of all taxes but excluding transportation charges unless otherwise agreed by both parties. Value Added Tax is shown separately at the checkout and shall be shown separately on the invoice to the buyer. If the buyer amends the quantity or delivery date from that specified in the order, Chandlery World Ltd. reserves the right to increase prices to reflect such variations. Chandlery World Ltd. reserves the right to amend accidental errors or omissions.
  4. Delivery: UK orders are usually sent on a three - seven (3 - 7) working day delivery schedule. This is subject to payment clearance and stock availability and is NOT GUARANTEED. Chandlery World Ltd. will use reasonable endeavours to deliver within ten (10) working days from receipt of order or to meet any revised estimated delivery date but will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from any delay whatsoever caused. Any loss or damage in transit should however be notified to Chandlery World Ltd. in writing within two (2) days of receipt and the product held for inspection or returned according to the procedures in our RETURNS POLICY. Products shall be deemed accepted seven (7) days after delivery. Incompatible items must be returned within seven (7) days of receipt according to the procedures in our RETURNS POLICY. Before returning products, the buyer must notify Chandlery World Ltd. of rejection and reasons therefore within such period and obtain a Returns Number. Goods returned without prior notification or without a valid RETURNS NUMBER clearly visible on the outside of each package, will not be accepted by Chandlery World Ltd. Chandlery World Ltd. reserves the right to dispatch and invoice all or any of the items ordered by the buyer as soon as they are available and the buyer shall honour all invoices presented in respect of such deliveries in accordance with the settlement terms.
  5. Terms of Payment: Accepted payment method is credit card. Details to be given at point of order through our specialist online secure payment processor. In the event of non-payment, Chandlery World Ltd. reserves the right to alter terms of payment, suspend credit and delay shipment or pursue any remedies available at law or under this agreement. The acceptance by Chandlery World Ltd. of any payment after the specified due date will not constitute a waiver of the buyers obligations to make payments on the specified dates to Chandlery World Ltd.
  6. Ownership of Goods: You will only own the goods once we have received payment in full and they have been delivered.
  7. Warranty: See manufacturer's warranty.
  8. Limitation of liability: Chandlery World Ltd. shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent), or any implied warranty, condition or other term, for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit or otherwise) or any other claim for compensation which arise out of or in connection with the supply of goods to you, and Chandlery World's entire liability to you in connection with your order for goods shall not exceed the price of such goods, except as expressly provided in these terms of business.
  9. Force Majeure: Without prejudice to its legal rights in respect of any breach of contract by the buyer Chandlery World Ltd reserves the right to suspend deliveries or cancel or rescind any contract without liability on its part for any loss or damage resulting from such suspension or cancellation in the event of any breach of the buyers obligations thereunder or in the event of Chandlery World Ltd. being prevented wholly from fulfilling its obligations thereunder by reason of any act of God, act of War, hostilities or any act of insurgency; act of Government, storm, fire, flood, strikes or lockouts, inevitable accident or other unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of Chandlery World Ltd.
  10. General: All rights and remedies whether conferred hereunder, or by any other instrument of law will be cumulative and may be exercised singularly or concurrently. Failure by either party to enforce any term will not be deemed a waiver of the Chandlery World Ltd. enforcement of that or any other term. These terms and conditions supersede all previous understandings (written or oral) between the parties regarding subject matter hereof. The invalidity of any one or more of the provisions of these terms and conditions of sale shall not affect the viability of the remaining provisions.
  11. Rights: In addition to your rights under these terms of business you have statutory rights. Nothing in these terms of business will affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.
  12. Legal construction: This contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law which shall predominate in so far as consistent with any conditions of the purchase and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Delivery Schedule
We endeavour to dispatch orders the day after payment clears.

Deliveries normally take 3-7 working days. (Under normal weather conditions)

Most items are despatched by Royal Mail 1st Class Delivery or Parcel carrier depending upon weight. In some cases we may arrange for the item to be despatched to you direct by the manufacturer. In any event we will always email you to confirm despatch date, method and parcel tracking numbers. Back Orders
If any item is not in stock, we will contact you by telephone or email to advise when the item is expected to be available and to discuss whether you wish to cancel the item not in stock or have it back ordered.

Tax Charges
All prices include 20% VAT for all orders made from the UK or the European Union.

Credit Card Security
All credit/debit card transactions are processed on our behalf by Sage Pay. When an order is placed at our website and if you are paying by credit or debit card you will be transferred to the secure SSL payment gateway of Sage Pay where your credit/debit card is processed in real time by the secure eCommerce servers run by Sage Pay. At no time are your card details entered on, or visible on, this site.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm.


If you need to return your purchase, you must follow the procedure below:

  1. If you have bought a product and you wish to return it, you need to contact us for details on where to send the product and to get authorisation and a returns number.
    a) Please use the CONTACT US form, putting 'Returns Request' as the subject line and quote your invoice or order number and details of the item/s you wish to return and the reason/s why.
    b) Alternatively, you may fax us on +44 (0)1995 601612, putting 'Returns Request' as the subject line and quoting your invoice or order number and details of the item/s you wish to return and the reason/s why.
    This will help us process your request quicker.
    We will then send you a Returns Number and the address to where the item/s should be returned.
  2. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you just send the products back to us directly without authorisation. Goods returned without prior notification will not be accepted by Chandlery World Ltd and will either be shipped back to you at your own cost or a restocking fee of 20% charged.
  3. All items must be returned complete and with the original packaging. Unless you are returning an item because it is defective or damaged in transit, the item/s MUST be returned in 'as new' condition and with all the original packaging. If item/s are damaged and we cannot resell them then we may deduct these costs from the refund amount.
  4. To return an item, please enclose a note quoting your invoice/order number and the returns number, wrap the package securely and WRITE THE RETURNS NUMBER CLEARLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF EACH PACKAGE. Parcels without a returns number clearly visible will not be accepted. Send the package to the address given when you received your returns authorisation.
    For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service as we cannot be held liable for items lost in transit to us. The goods remain YOUR responsibility until they are received and signed for by us. A refund will be provided within "30 days of cancellation".
    If a product is defective please contact us stating clearly what the problem is. You may use the CONTACT US form, telephone us on +44(0)1995 603374 or fax us on +44(0)1995 601612. You will need to obtain a Returns Number and follow the procedure in items (1 - 4) above.
  6. If you are returning an item because it is defective, we will be happy to refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and your costs in returning it to us. Otherwise you will be responsible for those charges and the costs of any other services provided to you in connection with your purchase.
    If we have supplied the wrong product you must notify us within two (2) days of delivery. You may use the CONTACT US form, telephone us on +44(0)1995 603374 or fax us on +44(0)1995 601612. You will need to obtain a Returns Number and follow the procedure in items (1 - 4) above.
  8. If you are returning an item because we have supplied the wrong product, we will be happy to refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and your costs in returning it to us. Otherwise you will be responsible for those charges and the costs of any other services provided to you in connection with your purchase.
    If the product is damaged in transit you must notify us within two (2) days of delivery. You may use the CONTACT US form, telephone us on +44(0)1995 603374 or fax us on +44(0)1995 601612. You will need to obtain a Returns Number and follow the procedure in items (1 - 4) above.
  10. If the product/s have been damaged in transit it is imperative that all packaging materials are returned with the item/s in order to substantiate any claim against the carrier. You will need to obtain a Returns Number and follow the procedure in item (1 - 4) above.
  11. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
    If these conditions are not met then you may be refused a refund
