Engine oil drain pumps for lubricating diesel or oil. For pumping oil from sump to the dipsick hole. It is made from solid brass meaning it is durable and runs at a slow speed for longer life and can run dry for a limited period. Pumping cold oil will greatly reduce the flow rate. Run the engine to warm the oil before pumping it out.
