Bob first went to sea aged around fifteen in the barquentine, Waterwitch. He was sunk twice during the Second World War and crossed the Atlantic twice! He owned and sailed the last working sailing vessel in the red ensign - the Spritsail Barge, Cambria. In Breeze For a Bargeman Bob recounts his adventures from brine to ice to fire, introducing the boats he sailed and the colourful characters he came across along the way. The tale spans the globe from the cold coast of the North Sea to the West Indies, Ascension Island, West Africa and Brazil.
