Diode Battery Isolators Diode battery isolators allow simultaneous charging of two or more batteries from one alternator, without connecting the batteries together. Discharging the accessory battery for example will not result in also discharging the starter battery.
FET Battery Isolators Similarly to diode battery isolators, FET isolators allow simultaneous charging of two or more batteries from one alternator (or a single output battery charger), without connecting the batteries together. Discharging the accessory battery for example will not result in discharging the starter battery.
Isolation Transformers The inclusion of an isolation transformer is fundamental in any professional marine or mobile power system. The device serves two purposes; • As a safety device, the transformer provides the means to create an independent safety ground connection so as to afford the maximum level of personal protection from electric shock • To isolate a vessel from the shore power so as to prevent the possibility of electrolytic corrosion that can have otherwise disastrous effects where it occurs.
DC/DC Converters An ever-increasing amount of electric equipment is being used on vehicles and boats. Because most low-voltage equipment, such as navigation and radio equipment, mobile telephones or car hi-fi systems, is designed for 12 Volts, Victron Energy supplies DC/DC converters which deliver a stable 12 Volt supply from a 24 Volt system.
Battery Combiners The Cyrix battery combiner is a microprocessor controlled heavy duty relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is being charged), and disconnects when the voltage decreases below float level (indicating that one or more batteries are being discharged).
Battery Protect The BatteryProtect can be set to engage / disengage at several different voltages with jumpers. To prevent damage to your sensitive loads due to over voltage, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16 V respectively 32 V
Filax Transfer Switch The Filax has been designed to switch sensitive loads, such as computers or modern entertainment equipment from one AC source to another. The priority source typically is the mains, a generator or shore power. The alternate source typically is an inverter. With its switching time of less than 20 ms sensitive loads will continue to operate without disruption.
Powerman The PowerControl function of the Phoenix Multi and the PowerAssist function of the Phoenix MultiPlus combined inverter / battery chargers open new horizons with respect to management of the AC power supply. When installing an automatic transfer switch to source AC power from 2 alternative supplies, such as shore / generator power on a yacht, it is important that Power Control and/or Power Assist remain functional.
