Vetus Electro-Hydraulic Lifting Systems

The complete VETUS lifting system consists of : an electro-hydraulic pump, see page 43 type EHPAR, 12 or 24 Volt D.C., a hydraulic cylinder with 500 mm stroke, a control panel with rocker switch, 12 metres of hydraulic tubing, as well as all required fittings. The hydraulic oil must be ordered separately.
The maximum lifting power is 125 kgf (1250 N) or 320 kgf (3200 N) for each cylinder.
If two 320 kgf cylinders are installed, it is necessary to install an additional oil reservoir. This is available as an option, code HTANK and fitting kit SLP7/1620.

Calculation Formula

1/2 W x G = S x F
G = weight of the object to be lifted
F = the required lifting power of the cylinder (maximum lifting power is 125 kgf or 320 kgf)
W = width of object (e.g. hatch)
S = Stroke of cylinder (500 mm)

EXAMPLE:
width of hatch = 1300 mm
weight of hatch = 90 kg
1/2 x 1300 x 90 = 500 x F. Therefore: F = 117 kgf.
In this case one cylinder with a capacity of 125 kgf will suffice.
If the object to be lifted has a greater weight, it is also possible to fit two cylinders to one pump unit.
