 | DEZINCIFICATION RESISTANCE
In certain aggressive water supplies, the dezincification of brass valves used to be a problem. However, with the introduction of the ISIS Ball Valve range in dezincification resistant copper alloy (CZ132) the use of more expensive alternatives can be avoided. ISIS protects against the leaching of zinc that can result in the failure of brass components. Also avoided is the risk of blockage due to the formation of a soft, white 'meringue' corrosion product containing basic-zinc carbonate. Dezincification resistant copper, alloy is now specified in BS EN 12165, the alloy being designated CW602N (CZ132). |

| The symbol above indicates that ISIS valves have been manufactured to be dezincification resistant and will satisfy the requirements of the British Standard dezincification test. Dezincification resistance of CW602N (CZ132) alloy is maintained in seawater high in chlorides and other aggressive agents.
